Dengue diagnosis misunderstanding hinder treatment, prediction

In the study, researchers from the World Health Organization and other institutions looked at recent data and maps showing areas where people made dengue and Chikungunya infection. The scientists also studied the same patients reported seen on both virus detection.
Researchers reported cases of dengue infection and infection of Chikungunya cases reported in recent years, with 154 countries, with 99 countries found. Who were these people with the virus, “co-infected” with cases of both diseases with cases involving 98 countries and 13 countries.

More research examining one of the two viruses before being infected with a person more likely to be infected with other viruses that could need, too, the researchers said.
For now, it is unclear whether the two co-infection with the virus by itself or worse than those caused by the virus may lead to symptoms, the scientists said.
